Whalehaven
Whalehaven is a boutique winery situated in Hermanus that creates a delightful array of wines that intrigue and tantalize the palate. The wines are hand-crafted to celebrate each harvest and to reflect the particular nuances of each varietal. The wines are made for the most part from grapes from the Bottega Family farm, Da Capo Vineyards in Stellenbosch but are vinified and bottled at the Whalehaven winery.
Whalehaven Winery was named after the protective bay that shelters breeding Southern Right Whales in the cool Cape winter months. The Winery has been wholly owned by the Bottega Family since 2003. Since Alberto Bottega took over guardianship, helped by his son Roberto Bottega, this niche winery has grown to produce a diverse and exciting collection of wines including: Whalehaven Fine Wines, The W Range and from the grapes cultivated from the Bottega family farm Da Capo Vineyards, The Idiom Collection and Enoteca Bottega. |
