Alberto Bottega
Born in Milan, Italy in 1942. After spending childhood in the Friuli
region of north-east Italy, Alberto emigrated with his parents and
sister to Cape Town in 1950. Met Valerie in 1960. Studied Nuclear
Physics at UCT. Lived & worked for thirty years in Johannesburg
migrating from scientific research to consulting and finance.
Returned to Cape Town in 1998 to wind down and start family
farm and wine venture. |

Valerie Bottega
Born in the Strand in 1943. Married Alberto in 1968. History of Art
degree from Wits while raising a son and two daughters.
Excellent cook, the homebuilder in the family and controller of the
budget. |

Roberto Bottega
Born in Johannesburg in 1970. Business science degree from
UCT. Worked in the financial markets in London & Johannesburg.
Shares passion for sport with his father. He is married to Sian
and have just had their first child, Gianluca who is named after
Gianluca Vialli. Roberto promotes the wine portfolio while
continuing to trade in the financial markets. |

Laura Bottega
Born in Johannesburg in 1975. Degree in English and Politics
from UCT. Worked in London and New York in a career spanning
journalism through to finance. Currently working in London for an
American merchant bank but contributing research and editorial
for the family business. |

Silvana Bottega
Born in Johannesburg in 1977. Diploma in advertising & trilingual
masters degree in European politics from Bath University.
Worked in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing in brand
management. Currently based between London & South Africa
but is still the key designer and custodian of brand activities. |
